Narsapuram YSRCP MP K. Raghu Ramakrishna Raju has been engaged in anti-party activity for the past 14 months and his statements are believed to create dissatisfaction with the state government, said Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, public affairs adviser.
Ramakrishna Reddy told the media on Tuesday that the party had already given the Lok Sabha spokesman a representative to disqualify the MP.
Mr. Raju broke all barriers of decency in public affairs and his behavior in recent months has drawn public anger, he added.
“It is unfortunate that TDP President N. Chandrababu Naidu berates the state for acting against Mr. Raju. The TDP chief had brazenly used IPC Section 124 when he was the chief minister. In fact, he had used the sedition charge to clarify political issues against the Prime Minister of Telangana and a group of lawyers in Guntur, ”said Ramakrishna Reddy.
Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy stated that the law would take its own course and said the investigation was under the direction of the CID. The Medical Board was formed by the High Court and its results were conclusive evidence that Mr. Raju was not subjected to detention torture, he said.
Mr. Naidu wept hoarsely over the police action, fearing the investigation would reveal his role in the criminal conspiracy to destabilize the YSRCP government.
