K. Rambabu, AP State Nodal Officer for COVID-19 and Director of the Visakha Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS), attended the video conference organized by Prime Minister Narendra Modi with medical experts from across the country from Visakhapatnam on Monday.
The meeting discussed the use of the services of anesthesiologists, surgical technicians and biomedical engineers in critical care medicine to reduce the number of COVID deaths and better care for patients.
The Prime Minister proposed that state governments prevent black fungus disease by reducing the use of steroids and only restricting their use when absolutely necessary.
