The 40-day Mahamrityunjaya Homam begins in Srisailam

The Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Devasthanam in Srisailam started a 40-day Mahamrityunjaya Pashapatha Homam for global peace and well-being on Sunday. On Sunday morning, special pujas were performed for the deity in the temple grounds.

As the number of devotees visiting the temple has drastically decreased due to the curfew in AP, Telangana, and other neighboring states, management has decided to reintroduce an online facility where people can watch the sevas on YouTube.

Karanam S. Rama Rao, the temple’s executive officer, said the temple introduced the limited online seva facility for the devotees in April 2020. The concept of being baptized “worship from home” was widespread at the time.

The fee for the ten services offered by the temple is £ 1,116. The sevas are: Ganapathi Homam, Rudra Homam, Mrityunjaya Homam, Kumkumarchana, Rudrabhishekam, Valli Devasena Sametha Subramanyeswara Swamy Kalyanam, Chandi Homam, Veda Ashirvachanam, Leela Kalyanotsavam and Ekanta Seva.

People can now visit the temple’s official website and book seva by making payment online at https://www.srisailadevasthanam.org/en-in/sevas-and-darshanam/paroksha-seva. After payment has been made, you will receive a YouTube link that you can use to view the sevas.

“We processed 22,000 online inquiries in the past year and incurred a fee of more than £ 2 billion for the services we provided. This type of service is now being rolled out in other temples in the state’s Endowments Department, ”said Rama Rao.
