Chinta moves NHRC due to deaths at Ruia Hospital

Former MP and a special guest on the Congressional Working Committee (CWC) Fr Chinta Mohan has written to the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) asking for an investigation into the deaths allegedly due to disorder at the SVR Ruia Government General Hospital in Tirupati in the oxygen supply.

In a proxy to Acting Chairman of the NHRC, Justice Prafulla Chandra Pant, a copy of which was also addressed to President Ram Nath Kovind, Chinta Mohan alleged that about 30 patients died at Ruia Hospital from a lack of oxygen from human rights violations. He also resolved the complaints from the victims’ families and asked the NHRC to register a case and investigate the matter.
