Four people were killed and five survived in a road accident in East Godavari

The gruesome incident occurred while the family was on their way to a bhumi puja to build a new house in the city of Rajamahendravaram.

At least four people, including a four-month-old boy, died on the spot, and five people survived with serious injuries when a car the nine people were traveling in hit a truck on ADB Road on the outskirts of Peddapuram town East Godavari District met in the early hours of Thursday.

The gruesome incident occurred while the family was on their way to a bhumi puja to build a new house in the city of Rajamahendravaram. The family belongs to the village of Pedavalasa in the Tallarevu mandal in East Godavari district.

Peddapuram Circle Inspector KNV Jayakumar said The Hindu;; “The deceased were identified as V. Eswara Rao (36), V. Annapurna (33), Aradasi Swami (55) and an unnamed four year old boy. The incident happened when the driver lost control of the engine and hit the truck coming out of the city of Rajamahendravaram. ”

“The five injured were rescued from the car in which the bodies of the four people were recovered. The injured were admitted to Peddapuram Area Hospital, ”said Jayakumar.
