Governor Biswa Bhushan Harichandan expressed fear and sadness over the death of 11 COVID-19 patients in the tragic incident at Ruia Hospital in Tirupati.
According to a press release on Tuesday, Mr. Harichandan has asked affected state government officials to ensure that all necessary precautions are in place to prevent such an incident from occurring in the future.
Mr. Harichandan was informed by officials that the incident was due to an interruption in the supply of medical oxygen due to a late arrival of the refueling oxygen tanker.
The governor expressed his condolences to the members of the bereaved families.
