Increasing Public Health Spending: JSA

Jan Swasthya Abhiyan (JSA) released a statement on the second wave of COVID-19 seeking urgent policies to increase public health spending and repeal all decisions to privatize district hospitals and other state hospitals.

General Secretary T. Kameswara Rao from Praja Arogya Vedika (PAV), a member of the JSA, stated that a “day of protest” was being held on Monday to implement the JSA’s proposals. The PSA’s proposals include repealing all decisions to privatize district and state hospitals, increasing the production of all essential drugs, diagnostics and PSA kits required to treat COVID-19 patients, and increasing the production of vaccines.
