The AP Telugu Academy is to act as the headquarters from Tirupati

The AP Telugu Academy is to act as the headquarters from Tummalagunta in Tirupati. This was made possible by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), which assigns a building to the academy.

In her letter to the TTD, the chairwoman of the academy Nandamuri Lakshmi Parvati applied for a building with all the necessary facilities to be allocated free of charge.

The TTD acknowledged their request and allotted the academy a two-story building along with a spacious deity for a period of three years for a license fee of £ 10,000 per month.

Although the allotment was made last year, the Academy was unable to take possession of the building because the Treasury Department did not approve funds and certain formalities were not completed by the Academy.

According to the TTD rules, it is mandatory for the licensee to take possession of the assigned premises within fifteen days of receipt of the orders and to pay six months of license fees in addition to the execution of a license deed.

The delay in sanctioning funds by the finance department forced Dr. Parvati, however, was more likely to write a letter to TTD demanding time to pay a £ 60,000 deposit, a six month license fee, and permission to take ownership of the premises in the meantime.

Initially, the TTD feared that an exception in this case would set a precedent for others and cause problems in the days ahead. It was also found that the letter did not explicitly mention the date or the period for the deposit of the deposit, which could most likely lead to objections during the annual audit.

The TTD, which looked at the issue at length, finally decided to allow the academy to leave the mandatory deposit with a driver at a later date so that it could be deposited within six months from the date the building was occupied, as well as the license fee can be collected from last November.

On the other hand, the Academy’s plan to organize a ceremonial inauguration of its main building has been dampened by the second wave of devastation in the country.
