Government. Targeting BCs in support of TDP: Naidu

The national president of the TDP, N. Chandrababu Naidu, has claimed that the state government is working with an “ulterior motive to eliminate the TDP activists for challenging the rampant corruption in the state”.

In a statement on Sunday, Mr. Naidu alleged that Srinivasulu, a party activist in Nidjuru, Kurnool District, was murdered for failing to support the YSRCP in the recent local elections.

“How can he be killed for not expanding support in the elections?” he asked.

“Members of the backward classes should continue to extend their support to the TDP,” said Naidu.

“False cases are being filed against the TDP leaders for having questioned the illegal activities and corruption of the ruling party leaders on a large scale. The police are wrongly arresting the party activists, ”he claimed.

“While people are suffering greatly from the rise in COVID-19 cases, the prime minister is inciting his party leaders to resort to the vendetta policy,” claimed Naidu.

The TDP would stand by Srinivasulu’s family members during this hour of loss and pain, he said.
