Virus claims 10 lives in 24 hours

The district recorded 1,888 new coronavirus positive cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the cumulative number to 93,620. This means that the number of active cases has risen to 16,549. The district also recorded 10 deaths, bringing the number to 676 people since the outbreak of the pandemic.

Meanwhile, 1,202 people who underwent COVID infection have been released from various hospitals, COVID care centers, and home isolation, bringing the total number of recoveries to 76,395.

The district has seen increases in some cases. In the last two months from the first week of March, the district has seen more than 30,000 infections and over 150 deaths.
