The 108 medical team is helping the woman give birth to a baby

A 27-year-old woman who tested positive for COVID-19 and her family members were very concerned when she suddenly went into labor on Thursday.

Desperate, they called ‘108’ and in no time a paramedic (EMT) reached them and helped the woman, nine months pregnant, give birth to a boy with a clasp, for the relief of all.

A proud EMT member, P. Satish, along with pilot Brahmam and health worker Kranti said, “We have the satisfaction of saving the lives of the mother and the breech baby.”

It was a very critical case when the umbilical cord was found around the baby’s neck, added the district ambulance chief S. Vijaykumar.

Shortly before birth, most babies are upside down in the mother’s uterus. Sometimes babies are in the foot position, which leads to the birth of an occlusion.

“There is a need to raise awareness of the neonatal care that our team offers,” he added.
