Curfew is strictly enforced, says Collector

The restrictions on passenger traffic are in place for 14 days and the partial curfew from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. is strictly adhered to, said district collector Vivek Yadav.

Mr. Yadav, together with the superintendents of the police, Guntur Urban, RN Ammireddy and Vishal Gunni, told media representatives that all activities, with the exception of essential services and emergencies, would have to cease at noon.

“People should also follow COVID-appropriate behavior. Avoid gathering in groups while shopping, wear a mask, and keep cleaning your hands. With the exception of the units handling medical emergencies, laboratories, hospitals and pharmacies, all other activities would have to stop after noon, ”he said.

Employees of central and state governments, judicial offices, local bodies and Panchayat Raj institutions can carry out their duties by showing their identity cards. Healthcare workers, doctors, nurses and paramedical staff are also excluded. Those who work in banks would be given separate assignments.

“People in any form of need can call 104, a one-stop call center, with questions about testing, home isolation, or hospitalization. It is observed that 90% of patients recover, ”said Yadav.

Mr Ammireddy said police will ease queues at vegetable markets. Mr Gunni said people should work with the police to enforce the curfew.
