VRV sends two more oxygen bottles to Tirupati

VRV Asia Pacific, based in Sri City, one of the three companies in the country that makes cryogenic storage bottles, rigid tankers and trailers, has shipped two additional 13,000 liter and 10,000 liter medical oxygen tanks for use at the Balaji Institute of Tirupati Surgery, Research and Rehabilitation for the Disabled (BIRRD) or SV Ramnarain Ruia Government General Hospital (SVRRGGH).

It wasn’t until April 29 that the company donated a similar storage tank to the SVIMS super special hospital.

The truck with the two tanks was stopped on Monday evening by the VRV Managing Director GL Rangnekar and the Vice President of Sri City, Ramesh Kumar.

The state government decided to expand the oxygen storage infrastructure at these two hospitals that treat COVID cases and turned to Sri City for top priority care. The 13,000 liter tank was sponsored by TalentPro India HR Private Limited of Chennai, while the 10,000 liter tank was purchased by the state government.

BIRRD Special Officer R. Reddeppa Reddy said the hospital’s oxygen infrastructure, which is only suitable for 50 patients, has been quadrupled to meet the needs of 200 patients with the installation of the 13,000 liter tank.
