Venkateswar Salijamula, project leader of the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA), has announced that tourist spots in the agency areas of Visakhapatnam district will be closed from May 5th due to the increase in COVID-19 cases.
In a statement released Tuesday, Dr. Venkateswar that the entrance of tourists to Giri Grama Darshini in Peda labudu in the mandal of the Araku valley, in the tribal museum in Araku, in the Padmapuram gardens, in the Chaparai waterfall in the Dumbriguda mandal and in the Kothapalli waterfall in the G. Madugula Mandal done were stopped.
He instructed the officials concerned not to allow tourists. He also advised people in the areas of the agency to observe social distance and always wear a mask when leaving their homes. They should wash their hands frequently with a disinfectant and follow COVID-19 protocols, he said.
