The Ministry of Railways issued guidelines for the online payment of freight costs on Friday, which will be implemented from June 1, 2001.
An online payment system via the Freight Business Development (FDB) portal via the SBI payment gateway will be available around the clock, according to the railway authorities.
Payment should be possible via all modes such as Netbanking / RTGS / NEFT, credit card / debit card / UPI via the customer dashboard.
