COVID Care Centers receive 3,000 beds: MP

Vizianagaram MP Bellana Chandrasekhar said Friday that the government is arranging nearly 3,000 beds to adequately treat COVID-19 patients in the district.

Together with Vizianagaram collector M. Hari Jawaharlal, Mr. Chandrasekhar inspected the infrastructure and facilities of the CCCs that were being set up at JNTU College in Vizianagaram. Speaking to reporters, he said that the district already had four 1,000-bed centers.

He said more oxygen cylinders and ambulances were being prepared in hospitals to ensure quick medical aid to patients. The collector said doctors and staff will be given PPE kits and other facilities to treat patients without fear. He said the life of the frontline workers in the district is a top priority.
