Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has described reports published in part of the media that its Executive Officer KS Jawahar Reddy has been transferred as “unfounded”.
Mr. Reddy was recently named chairman of the COVID state command control center, which is an added responsibility given his extensive experience in successfully dealing with the pandemic last year during his previous tenure as Secretary of Health and Family Welfare.
The government recently ordered the relocation of its headquarters to Velagapudi to ensure the effective functioning of COVID command control. For this reason, he has asked the TTD’s additional executive officer, AV Dharma Reddy, to take care of the day-to-day affairs.
In a press release, the TTD made it clear in a press release that Mr. Jawahar Reddy will continue to act as Executive Officer.
