The police in Prakasam save the day because the oxygen tanker has a hook

At a time when coronavirus patients are suffering from a lack of oxygen in hospitals, Prakasam police saved the day by repairing an oxygen tanker that was stranded after developing a hook on Monday.

The truck carrying 22 tons of oxygen from Visakhapatnam to the government hospital in Ongole developed a hook in Narnivaripalem near the Bollapalli toll booth on the Chennai-Kolkata national road in the Prakasam district.

After Prakasam Superintendent of Police Siddharth Kaushal received information from a street patrol party, he immediately instructed the police personnel attached to the J.Pangalur Police Station to have the tanker repaired through the intervention of mechanics.

Much to the relief of the GGH health professionals, who were eagerly waiting for the oxygen supply to be replenished, the J. Pangalur police helped fix the mechanical and electrical defects by rappelling the mechanics.

The police team then accompanied the tanker to the GGH. The timely intervention of the police was appreciated by GGH Superintendent D. Sriramulu and other doctors.
