Special trains against the summer rush

The railways will run special trains to various destinations via Visakhapatnam to meet summer demand.

Train No. 02516 Agartala-Bengaluru Cant. Special will leave Agartala on Saturdays and Tuesdays from April 24th to May 11th at 5.35am to arrive in Visakhapatnam at 1.45am on the third day of his journey and depart at 2.05am to reach Bengaluru Cant. on the third day at 8.15 p.m.

On the return journey, 02515 Bengaluru Cant-Agartala Special leaves Bengaluru Cant on Tuesdays and Fridays from April 27th to May 14th at 10.15am to reach Visakhapatnam the next day at 4.20am and departs at 4.40am to Agartala at 3am in the morning to reach the third day.

The train consists of LHB buses of an AC 3-tier and 17 sleeper class as well as two motor generators.

These trains are in Ambasa, Dharmanagar, New Karimganj, Badarpur, New Haflong, Guwahati, Kamakhya, New Bongaigaon, New Jalpaiguri, Kisanganj, City of Malda, Rampurhat, Dankuni, Andul, Kharagpur, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khuranes, Brahmapur stations , Srikakulam Road, Vizianagaram, Duvvada, Vijayawada, Perambur, Katpadi and Whitefield

Train No. 06178 Villupuram-Kharagpur Special leaves Villupuram on Tuesday at 12:05 p.m. with effect from April 27, to arrive in Visakhapatnam at 5:45 a.m. the next day and to depart at 6:05 a.m. to reach Kharagpur at 6:10 p.m.

On the return journey, 06177 Kharagpur-Villupuram Weekly Special leaves Kharagpur on Thursdays at 2:10 p.m. with effect from April 29, to arrive in Visakhapatnam the next day at 1:30 a.m. (early in the morning) and to leave at 1:50 a.m. to go to Villupuram at reach 7 p.m.

This train will have one AC 2-stage, one AC 3-stage, seven sleeper class and five second class buses.

There will be stops at stations Belda, Balasore, Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Brahmapur, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada, Gudur, Renigunta, Katpadi, Vellore Cant and Tiruvannamalai.

Train No. 06598 The Howrah-Yesvantpur Special leaves Howrah on Tuesdays at 12.40 p.m. from April 27 to 29 June to arrive in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday at 1.45 a.m. (early in the morning) and leave at 2.05 a.m. to Yesvantpur at 8.40 p.m. O’clock

On the return trip, 06597 Yesvantpur-Howrah Special leaves Yesvantpur on Thursday at 9.55am from April 29th to June 24th to arrive in Visakhapatnam at 4.20am the next day and leave at 4.40am to reach Howrah at 6.30pm

The train will have six AC 2-tier, 10 AC 3-tier coaches and two second class cum-luggage coaches.

These trains stop at Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Brahmapur, Palasa, Srikakulam Road, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Ongole, Renigunta, Katpadi and Krishnarajapuram.
