Oxygen companies said they should provide adequate inventory

Krishna District Collector A. Md. Imtiaz on Sunday asked oxygen supply companies to ensure uninterrupted supplies to meet the needs of coronavirus patients.

The collector held an emergency meeting with representatives from six oxygen supply companies. “Companies should consult with the deputy director of drug control on daily needs and deliver inventory accordingly until the situation returns to normal,” he said.

During the second wave of the pandemic, more emergencies hit the district’s state hospitals. Given the situation, companies should consider this their social responsibility rather than a commercial gain, the collector said.

Joint Collector (Revenue) K. Madhavi Latha, Joint Collector (Development) L. Siva Shankar, Superintendent of Sivaprasad Government Hospital, Deputy Director of Drug Control and representatives of oxygen supply companies were present.
