All station house officials in Vizianagaram district took an oath to the public on Saturday to adhere to safety precautions and the COVID-19 protocol to combat the spread of the coronavirus. People responded positively to the program in Neelakantha Puram, Parvatipuram, Bhogapuram, Vizianagaram and other places. The SHOs were told to start such programs in rural and tribal areas, in part because the people motivated with an oath program would encourage others to follow safety standards.
