5,546 medical staff are to be recruited

The state government has given the Commissioner for Health and Family Welfare permission to discontinue the services of specialists, general practitioners and paramedical staff for COVID treatment facilities in the country.

According to a GO, the government will hire 1,170 specialists, 1,170 general practitioners, 2,000 nurses, 306 anesthesia technicians, 300 FNOs, 300 MNOs and 300 sweepers on a contract basis for six months for COVID management.
