The state government has designated 15 private hospitals as COVID hospitals in the cities of Kakinada and Rajamahendravaram in East Godavari district as the number of cases increases.
As of Sunday, 27 hospitals, including three government hospitals, had been designated as COVID-19 hospitals to provide critical care to those struggling for their lives with COVID in the district.
COVID-19 services were made available in designated hospitals from Sunday and coordinators have been appointed for each private hospital to ensure better services and monitor the situation.
In an official press release, Collector D. Muralidhar Reddy said the coordinators would register cases, maintain patient discharge dates, and set up help desks to guide patients around the clock.
In Rajamahendravaram, the Gandhi Hospitals, Annapurna Hospital, Sri Ravi Hospital and RS Neuro Multi Specialty Hospitals have been designated as COVID hospitals.
