A help desk has been set up in all hospitals to monitor the situation around the clock.
The state government has designated 15 private hospitals as COVID hospitals in the cities of Kakinada and Rajamahendravaram in East Godavari district to help combat the spread of the dreaded disease.
As of Sunday, 27 hospitals, including three state hospitals, had been designated as COVID-19 hospitals offering intensive care to those struggling for their lives with the COVID in the district.
The COVID-19 services will be available in designated hospitals from Sunday, and coordinators have been appointed for each private hospital to ensure better medical services in addition to overseeing the COVID care mechanism.
In an official press release, East Godavari collector D.Muralidhar stated that the hospital coordinators deployed in the designated private hospitals would register Covid cases, maintain patient discharge data and operate help desks to guide patients around the clock . The help desks would be operated under the auspices of the district hospital services coordinator.
In the city of Rajamahendravaram, the Gandhi Hospitals, Annapurna Hospital, Sri Ravi Hospital and RSNeuro Multi Specialty Hospitals have been designated as COVID hospitals.
