Station corporator Chintakunta Padmavathamma, 58, died Monday morning after having been treated at a hospital in Bengaluru for the past four days.
Padmavathamma, who won the YSR Congress Party ticket in the recent local elections, was treated for pneumonia. It wasn’t clear if she had tested positive for COVID-19.
The company’s untimely death shocked people in the city. Anantapur Urban MLA Anantha Venkatarami Reddy, Mayor Mohammed Waseem Saleem and Community Commissioner PVVS Murthy have approved her death.
