Learn about our heritage, Centurion’s Vice Chancellor urges students

Centurion University-Vizianagaram Vice Chancellor GSN Raju asked students to learn about Indian heritage and culture as it would help them learn more about the technological skills behind building massive temples and forts in of antiquity.

Prof. Raju attended a seminar organized on Sunday on the university campus on the role of students in cultural heritage and said mere academic studies would not ensure the overall development of students.

“The university has founded a wonderful culture, sports and responsibility club to make every student shine in all aspects. We get them to study Indian history, culture and heritage regardless of their academic courses. The youngsters were fascinated to get to know some parts of our history, such as the Indian struggle for freedom, ”he said.

Registrar CV Gopinath said the university awarded special grades and grades to students who became enthusiastic about the club’s extracurricular activities. “Those who hope to crack the UPSC can safely take the exam if they know the basics of Indian heritage and culture. The university’s initiative will also help students with a science background, ”said Dr. Gopinath.

Club coordinator K. Venkateswarulu said the club has become a great platform for identifying hidden skills among youth. Previously, Mayank Kumari Deo of the Jeypore Royal Family of Odisha congratulated Centurion University management on organizing a seminar on Indian heritage. She said that heritage is a country’s real wealth and pride and suggested making field visits for students to learn the history of their surroundings.
