Sunrise Hospital temporarily banned, £ 2L fine for Anil Neuro

The county government temporarily banned the city’s Sunrise Hospital because of overworking patients and other patient treatment violations. Another hospital, Anil Neuro, was fined £ 2 lakh for treating patients without permission.

The joint CEO and the additional CEO of Dr. YSR Aarogyasri Healthcare Trust, L. Siva Shankar, inspected the hospitals on Monday and found that Sunrise Hospital overloaded patients in violation of GO 77 after the first document review during the inspection.

He said the hospital’s permission to treat COVID patients has been temporarily revoked while treatment is allowed to continue for patients already admitted.

Officials later inspected Anil Neuro Hospital, which was applying for permission to treat COVID patients. However, officials were surprised to find that 12 COVID patients had already been treated in the hospital.

Mr. Siva Shankar asked the public to file their complaints with the government at number 104 or 1902. Vijayawada sub-collector HM Dhyana Chandra, DMHO M. Suhasini and Aarogyasri coordinator Balasubrahmanyam attended the inspection.
