Andhra Pradesh Receives Two More Lakh Vaccines To Complete Vaccination Of COVID Warriors

Given the surge in the incidence of COVID infections, the state will launch a special action in the coming days starting April 19 to vaccinate all Frontline Workers (FLWs) and Healthcare Workers (HCWs) as directed by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy told Andhra Pradesh Covid knot officer Arja Srikanth.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, the state received two lakh more Covishield cans in addition to the six six lakh cans received on Saturday.

In a press release, Srikanth said the government was ready to start the campaign and ensure that remaining frontline and health workers are vaccinated.

He said that out of 10 lakh workers to date, 5 lakh have been vaccinated and an application has been developed that monitors and records individual vaccination dates to ensure that all beneficiaries in the state are vaccinated.

“The application will be in use starting Monday. All doctors will use the app to enter the details of the FLWs / HCWs that have been vaccinated. The app has a list of all of them,” he said.

In the meantime, no sampling and vaccination centers have opened as it was Sunday.
