“The voluntary system strengthens local governance”

Backward classes Welfare Minister Chap. enu Gopala Krishna said on Saturday that the Village / Ward Volunteer System has strengthened local governance as they continue to play a central role in the implementation of various welfare systems.

Mr. Venu Gopala Krishna, the East Godavari collector D. Muralidhar Reddy, and the Superintendent of Police, Adnan Nayeem Asmi, presented the Seva Vajra and Seva Ratna awards to the volunteers on Saturday and praised their service in the Ramachandrapuram assembly segment.

Speaking to the gathering here, Mr. Venu Gopala Krishna said, “The system has become an important pillar of governance on the first floor. The contribution of the volunteers to the fight against COVID-19 is remarkable and the people are committed to their services on all fronts. ”

Mr Muralidhar said the volunteer system had produced results that exceeded expectations in curbing corruption in the implementation of welfare systems.

During the vaccination campaign, Mr. Muralidhar announced that on April 19, nearly 40,000 people across East Godavari District would receive the vaccine. Zilla Parishad, Chairman of the NVV Satyanarayana, Panchayat District Officer K. Nageswar Naik, and other officials attended.
