The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) is organizing a mega-job mela in cooperation with the Pragathi Bharathi Foundation in the districts of Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam.
Rajya Sabha member V. Vijaya Sai Reddy announced details here on Friday, saying a total of 4,000 jobs are planned as part of the job mela. He said that 75% of jobs would be given to women and that more such melas would be organized in the future.
The mela will be organized on April 24th and 25th at the AU Convention Center on Beach Road in Visakhapatnam, on April 25th in Government College in Parvathipuram in Vizianagaram district and on May 2nd in the Anandmayi Convention Hall in Srikakulam.
Mr Reddy said Visakhapatnam would be made the state’s executive capital and efforts would be made to beautify the city. Residential complexes would be built for the residents of 740 slums in the city. Prime Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would lay the foundation stone for the construction of Bhogapuram Airport and the six-lane road to Bheemunipatnam.
He said that YSRCP’s victory in Tirupathi Bypoll was a foregone conclusion. He said former minister and TDP leader K. Atchannaidu had said himself that the TDP would cease to exist after April 17th.
Mr. Vijaya Sai Reddy toured the Visakhapatnam North constituency with Tourism Minister Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao and laid the foundations for various development work that was to be started for a total price of GBP 3.92 billion. MVV Satyanarayana MP, Mayor G. Hari Venkata Kumari, GVMC Commissioner G. Srijana and others were present.
