Over 2,800 kg of ganja were confiscated in two incidents

On Friday, officials from the Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) confiscated more than 2,800 kg of ganja in two incidents in the Visakhapatnam district.

In one case, SEB teams, together with Munchingputtu police, based on credible information, intercepted a vehicle in the village of Gummasiragamputtu in Munchingputtu mandal and confiscated around 2,100 kg of ganja from it.

In another case, the SEB team intercepted a vehicle near the Marripalem control post in Koyyuru Mandal and arrested a person, Mathi Selvaraj, 49, from Tamil Nadu, who was allegedly attempting to transport 730 kg of ganja. The defendant allegedly transferred ganja from the inner parts of the agency to Tamil Nadu.
