The graduated hunger strikes organized by the Visakha Ukku Parirakshana Porata Committee took place on Thursday in Kurmannapalem on the 63rd day.
Committee member Y. Mastanappa opened the fast on Thursday, which was attended by a number of employees from the RMHP and RMD departments.
Mr. Mastanappa alleged that the center was not acting in the best interests of the power supplies. He claimed that the farmers who had fought in Delhi for the past four months were an inspiration to the VSP workers. Although 300 farmers lost their lives in the agitation, the other farmers continued their protests, he said.
