Crude oil stolen from ONGC pipeline in East Godavari

The gang had stolen nearly 500 liters of crude oil by pulling it from the ONGC pipeline.

East Godavari police on Thursday confiscated nearly 500 liters of crude oil reportedly stolen by a gang from the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) pipeline in the Valasatippa area under the Uppalaguptam police lines. Police take action after locals alert them to the theft of the ONGC pipeline.

Uppalaguptam Sub-Inspector K. Suresh Babu said The Hindu: “The gang stole nearly 500 liters of crude oil by pulling it from the ONGC pipeline. They left the crude oil and the vehicle when they were ambushed. “The ONGC authorities have filed a complaint and the investigation is ongoing,” added Suresh Babu.
