National President of the Telugu Desam Party, N. Chandrababu Naidu, said Tuesday that no one could harm him because he had the blessing of Lord Venkateswara.

As the campaign for the by-election of Tirupati Lok Sabha rose, he allegedly blamed the ruling YSR Congress Party for the stone throwing incident in Tirupati on Monday.

At an election rally in the city of Gudur, SPSR Nellore district, he recalled that, with the blessing of Lord Venkateswara, he had survived an attack by left-wing extremists while he was prime minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh.

He took strong objections to the way the police were investigating the case and said that instead of catching the culprits, the police had notified him. “I am amazed at the way the investigation is conducted into a case involving a person who has been prime minister for 14 years,” he said.

‘Stones rained on us. Some bleeding injuries suffered. Despite all of this, the police are still asking for evidence, ”he complained, adding that he would not be knocked down by such attacks.
