Minister publishes the first APSCHE e-bulletin

Education Minister Adimulapu Suresh on Tuesday released the first issue of Illumino, an e-bulletin published by the AP State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).

The Minister recognized the role of the APSCHE in initiating reforms in higher education through initiatives such as the redesign of the curriculum for engineering and conventional courses, online admission for conventional courses and the establishment of a quality assurance cell to support higher education institutions in their assessment and Accredited by the NAAC.

Department of Higher Education Special Envoy Satish Chandra said the e-bulletin would be helpful for students and academics to keep up with the changing scenario in higher education.

The chairman, APSCHE. K. Hemachandra Reddy said the e-bulletin is a platform to disseminate developments in higher education to all stakeholders, including academics, students, parents and employers.

He explained that it consists of a briefing paper that focuses on one of the academic or administrative aspects, and that the selection of the briefing paper is based on its usefulness to faculties and students, brief information on recent activities of the council, and some key orders from the state and central governments as well as UGC regulations and one of the innovations in science and technology or an idea that is transformed into a novel solution to a meaningful problem.

It also includes statistical analysis of data on higher education and a guest column where high-level professionals share their thoughts on higher education.

The deputy chairman of the council, K. Rama Mohana Rao, secretary B. Sudheer Prem Kumar, special officer, Common Entrance Tests, M. Sudhir Reddy, joint director TV Krishna Murthy and others were present.
