Lady SI with toddler draws attention to herself at the polling station

A police sub-inspector was in the news for having successfully fulfilled her job duty despite fulfilling her role as a nursing mother.

Vara Lakshmi, Disha Police Station sub-inspector, was a feast for the eyes when she and her six-month-old child came on duty on Thursday at a polling station in the village of Chilamakur in the Mandal of Yerraguntla, Kadapa district, where the MPTC ZPTC elections were held. She held the baby in her hand and stood guard in the assigned queue.

The superintendent of the police, KKN Anburajan, praised the sub-inspector for her exemplary role as a mother and as a police officer in the election service.
