“Exclude teachers from uploading information to apps”

The leaders of the Andhra Pradesh United Teachers’ Federation met with Education Minister Adimulapu Suresh on Wednesday and appealed to him to relieve teachers from the responsibility of uploading information to the various apps introduced by school education authorities.

Federation President N. Venkateswarlu, Secretary General KSS Prasad, and Krishna-Guntur constituency, MLC KN Lakshman Rao, made the Minister aware of the problems faced by school principals, especially in rural areas and authorities, when uploading information with various Apps are facing due to a network problem or insufficient server capacity.

“No time to teach”

“The upload process takes a long time and leaves some time for lessons. The situation is even worse in the schools that are run by individual teachers, ”emphasized Venkateswarlu.

Association members asked the minister to release teachers from the responsibility of uploading information and suggested that the social assistants working in the education wing of the village secretariats could be used for this purpose or some other alternative investigated.

The UTF leaders also briefed the minister of their plans to hold a demonstration on April 12th.

Association members told the media that the minister had promised to organize a workshop with education officials to address their problems before April 12th.

“If the authorities don’t solve our problems, we will protest on April 12,” said Prasad.
