The Minister of Transport, Information and Public Relations, Perni Venkataramaiah, and his wife were vaccinated on Tuesday at Machilipatnam Government Hospital. ANM Syama Sundari administered the vaccine to Mr. Venkataramaiah.
Mr Venkataramaiah said the vaccine is completely safe and there are no side effects after taking it.
He urged the public not to have any concerns about the effectiveness or safety of the vaccine and to come forward to get it.
Later, Mr. Venkataramaiah visited the vaccination center in the Ullingipalem neighborhood and interacted with people waiting to be vaccinated and appreciated those who were vaccinated.
