The TTD issued orders to end the services of three top managers working on the Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel (SVBC) with immediate effect in the Pornolink episode that rocked management last year.
The dismissed staff are: Editor G. Krishna Rao and Senior Staff K. Somasekhar and MSS Muralikrishna.
Last November, an office worker, Anand Krishnan, who worked in the Satamanam Bhavati department, shared a link from a porn site to a devotee, Mr. Venkata Krishna, rather than religious content, which caused widespread outrage among believers.
Due to the complaint of the devotee, the TTD had dismissed the employee immediately and ordered a detailed investigation by the vigilance authorities.
The dismissal of the top three employees is a result of the vigilance officers’ report that they have been held responsible for serious misconduct and gross negligence.
The investigation report also mentioned that the defendant had viewed malicious websites during official opening hours and that the statement they had submitted was of no value.
