GITAM is considered a university and on Thursday opened a new wellness center at the Medical College of the GITAM Institute for Medical Sciences and Research (GIMSR).
The wellness center will cater to students’ personal and psychological needs and help them learn in a stress-free environment.
The facility was inaugurated by GITAM President M. Sribharath in the presence of GITAM Vice Chancellor Prof. K.Sivaramakrishna.
During the meeting, Sribharath said that the ever increasing demand for doctors in the country has forced the establishment of new medical colleges across the country, so importance should be attached to the quality of the Indian medical graduates produced.
GITAM has set itself the goal of producing high-quality medical graduates by linking international online study platforms. GIMSR Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. CV Rao, students and faculty members participated.
