Cold stores are planned in the villages, says Minister

The government is a top priority for the agricultural sector, said Agriculture Minister Kurasala Kannababu.

Speaking to the media on Thursday, he said Prime Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was interested in building more godowns and cold stores at the village level for the benefit of farmers.

“The government has allocated £ 15,000 to develop such infrastructure,” he said.

The government’s intention is to allow farmers to sell their produce on their doorstep, Kannababu said.
