AITUC leaders burn copies of labor laws

The Entire Indian Trade Union Congress (AITUC), Vizianagaram District Secretary Bugata Ashok, claimed on Friday that the union government’s new labor laws would only benefit industrialists and corporate sectors, not workers. Along with other leaders, he burned copies of the labor laws and raised anti-government slogans. Mr Ashok said the previous 44 labor laws, which were used to protect workers’ interests and scrapping them, would deal them a serious blow.
