Registration of peanut seeds in phase I for a good start in Anantapur

Demand for peanut seeds from farmers was encouraging on the first day on Monday when 7,406 farmers signed up to purchase the seeds through the D-Krishi app in Rythu Bharosa Kendras, Anantapur district.

Joint Agriculture Director Y. Ramakrishna said that out of 7,406 farmers, 3,856 paid £ 1.76,19.185 for 3,383 quintals. Those who have not paid will be given 72 hours from the time of registration to pay the amount. Delivery of K 6 peanut seeds will be made available to those who register and pay from May 17th. The entire operation is carried out in three phases in each mandal, with registration for the opening of the second phase on May 17th and the third phase on May 21st.

Meanwhile, in the mandal of Obuladevaracheruvu, the leaders of the AP Rythu Sangham demanded the delivery of peanut seeds to the farmers’ doorsteps. However, this provision was not made by the state government, said the joint director.
